New Bloggyness.
So... Quick update.
-Tyler and I were married on August first. It was beautiful. Our reception was beautiful...Everything went great.
There will be pictures of that later (I hope!)...But, for now I have no wedding pictures!
-We went to Disneyland on our honeymoon. It was SO fun. I loved it...Even though we found white paper confetti EVERYWHERE the entire week, even though we didn't have the truck!
-We had a great second reception in Santa Rosa. Here was our cake...Tyler's (and mine too, huh) sister-in-law Heidi made it for us.
ANYWAY!
Tyler and I are getting a new blog.
Sorry for the inconvinience.... The "erika-a" just isn't going to cut it for us. It's a little outdated.

I'm expecting in January...Who knew?
For about a week now, Tyler and I have been SEARCHING for the perfect dress for me to wear to the Temple (and to the luncheon)...What IS the perfect dress you ask?
Well... it had to meet many qualifications the main ones being:
-A zipper or buttons...For easy take off. NOT for bad reasons people, but so that my hair wouldn't get messed up when changing in and out of my dress.
-Sleeves (obvious reasons)
-Down to the knee (again, obvious)
-At least a little bit cute.

Who knew finding a dress like that could be so hard? We seriously searched for so long the other day. I was so frustrated, so I gave myself a little break before dragging Tyler out for another long day of dress shopping.
We went to so many stores, but none seemed to have what I was looking for. Tyler, trying to help out, suggested we go to Lane Bryant to find a dress...Not a good call. Apparently he thought it was just a normal ol' clothes store. Hah.
After four hours of searching the mall, Tyler suggested (again...I ignored him the first time) that we go into Motherhood and look at the dresses that they had there. I decided it wouldn't hurt to look. So, we walked in and I immediately found a brown dress that I absolutely LOVE. So, I went to the dressing room to try it on. It fit perfectly! It has an empire waist, so you can't even tell it's maternity at all. I will admit I tried on the belly in the dressing room, though!
Here are some pictures of the dress... Try to imagine it without the belly and those boobs.:

ANYWAY, since I was sooo sick of being at the mall, I handed Tyler my debit card and the perfect dress (which doesn't have a zipper OR buttons, may I add) and asked him to go pay for it for me (it was only $14.99...woo woo.) in fear that if I paid on my own, the lady would ask me when I was due and make me feel fatter than I already did.
So, Tyler slowly walked up to the counter and began the transaction. The conversation went (pretty much) like this:
Her: So have you been here before?
Him: No...
Her: How pregnant is your wife?
Him: Oh, about 2 months.
Her: OH how exciting! When's the due date?
Him: Uh..I don't remember...
Her: About the end of January, huh?
Him: Yeah! That sounds about right.
Her: Where is your wife?
Him: She's around here somewhere.
Her: Oh okay! What's your address?
Him: (he gave my home address where my parents live)
Her: Wow, no apartment number... You live in a house?
Him: Yeah...
Her: Well we're going to send you a free sample of Huggies and baby formula to congratulate you!
Him: Okay... Thanks...
She then threw in a little packet of baby stuff, including a spoon with the words "YoBaby" on it... Hm.
I laughed so hard.
Poor Tyler goes through so much to get me what I want.
He really is my favorite boyfriend.

ANYWAY!
5 days until THE day.
Wow.
I'll try to keep you updated in the next few days!
P.S. Please tell me you all know I'm NOT REALLY PREGNANT? (Although, I know looks can be deceiving sometimes) That wouldn't be the best rumor to go around right now. hahah.

Pllllease Help Me!
I was looking through my bridals again, and I realized that I didn't feel like myself in it. So, I began a huuuge search looking for a new style. Nothing really jumped out at me until I saw this beauty.
http://tinyurl.com/5uudxs
The problem? It's a video. Tyler (being the wonderful fiance he is), took a lot of screen shots of it for me, but I still feel like I need a more clear picture. You can see it best if you fast forward to 1:04 and 3:05. There are a few good views in between that, but...You know.
If you can find me a reeeally clear picture of a hairstyle like that, I would love you forever (I probably already love you if you have the link to this blog, but I'd love you even more... If you can imagine it!).

(a little less than) Two Weeks!
Yesterday I went through the Temple for my first time. It was an amazing experience and I am so happy that I have made the decision to marry Tyler there. I can't wait to spend eternity with him. He is the most amazing person I have ever met in my life. I can't wait to become Mrs. Senneff.

Yesterday was also my Grandma's birthday. She was one of the most caring people that I've ever known. I have so many great memories of her, and still miss her terribly everytime I think about her.
When I was about 10 years old, I decided to change my middle name to hers. I couldn't think of anyone who I would rather be named after. She was (and still is) such a great example in my life. Many times I find myself wondering if the decisions I am making would make my Grandma proud... If the answer is yes, I know that I am making the right decision.
I wish I could put all of my feeling about her into words, but I can't. The truth is, she was too amazing for words. She made such a huge impact on me, and I strive everyday to become more like she was.

24 Days!!
Uh oh, I missed my 26 day mark. So much for writing every ten days, huh? Oh well, I've decided that I need to start writing more often and be more of an "avid blogger" as I like to call it.
I wish that there were more to blog about, though.
My life is pretty uneventful these days. Tyler and I are just sort of sitting around until the wedding. Okay, I take that back... I'M sitting around until the wedding. Tyler is out making me the big bucks.
Who knew job hunting could be so rough? I've applied to so many places, and each tells me the same thing... "August is our busiest month. We would need you here on August first"...Ugh.
Hopefully once everything is all settled down after the wedding, I'll be able to get a job. Cross your fingers.
Last week I had my bridals taken. My mom, Melissa, and I drove to Sugarhouse to get them done by the amazing Gen Wayment (seriously, she's amazing...She also did my engagements). Gen did a great job. The ones that I have seen so far look great! You can see a few of them at http://genwayment.blogspot.com/. For those of you who aren't sure if you want to go so far away, here is one to hold you over.

Sorry it doesn't show much of the dress, but we all know Tyler would have a fit if I showed the real deal on here. :)
It is so weird for me to finally see that everything is falling into place. Everything is getting done so nicely (thanks to my mom), and I am so excited to see everything all put together. This past week, Tyler's mom sent me some pictures of him when he was little. There were a few gems in there, but my ultimate favorite would have to be the one where he is in his wrestling outfit. Oh, what a cute boy. You will have to keep your eyes out for it in our wedding video, you won't be disappointed, I promise!

36 days!
My lovely dressI can't believe that it's only been ten days since I wrote last. I feel like things are going so slow! I just want August to be here already...But, of course it isn't happening.
This past week, I got my dress back from getting altered. I was a little scared leaving it with a lady who had a house full of nik-naks and a creepy blown up picture of Marie Osmond, but it turned out well. It looks gorgeous and fits perfectly (uh.. for now, I should probably go on that diet I've been promising myself so that it will still fit in a month!)... My advice? Don't judge someone for their poorly decorated home, even if it does have creepy glass dolls everywhere.
My invitations also came in last week. They are darling, if you ask me. They were a huge pain to make, though. Each of them (450...) had to have a band that says "Erika and Tyler" folded (by us) on them. It took forever. Be expecting yours soon! :)))
My bridals are scheduled for a week from yesterday (July 1st)... I can't wait to get my hair done and put my lovely dress on. I'm sure it will be a very emotional day for my mom and Melissa. We haven't really been able to spend time with just us three for a while, so it'll be fun having them there to cheer me on.
Tomorrow the "wedding planner" is coming over to look at the yard where my reception will be held and also to make final decisions on the decorations we will be making. It's so crazy to me that everything is finally falling into their places. I am so excited that I can hardly stand it!
I'm sooo grateful for my parents and all of the effort (and money) that they have put into planning my wedding. They are such amazing people, and I am so lucky to have them as parents. My mom is so much fun to be around during all of this planning. Along with making sure that I look great on my wedding day, she has also made sure that Milo, Issy, Eli, Audrie, Lyla, Olivia, and Royan (whew, that was a lot) look great, too. They'll probably be the cutest ones at the wedding, let's be honest.
Oh and... That isn't really my dress. I just put it there because Tyler likes to "sneakily" look at my blog. He won't even let me tell him a little bit about my dress... Don't worry Tyler, it's completely opposite of that.

46 days

Yup, that's right. In 46 days I'll be a married girl. It may seem like it's coming right up, but to me it is going soooo sloooow.
Everyone keeps trying to tell me that being engaged is so much fun... I would have to disagree. I wish that I could just get married already! Waiting and I don't go well together.
The other day, I found a list that I wrote in young women's 7 years ago. The list was about the things that I wanted in a future husband...(What else would YW have me write about?) My list was compiled of 30 different things that my future husband had to be. When my leader read the list, she told me that they were all great but that I shouldn't expect to find someone who was everything on my list because I would just be disappointed. Well, turns out, she was wrong. Tyler is all of these things and more. I really lucked out.
Here is my list:
1- The same religion as I am. A worthy priesthood holder. I want someone who is worthy to take me through the Temple.
2- Amazing smile. Straight teeth.
3- Taller than me.
4- Accepts me for the person I am... Despite mistakes I've made in the past.
5- Likes animals (my dog better like him)
6- Inspires me to be a better person.
7- Good with kids. Will make a good dad.
8- Strong testimony of the Gospel.
9- Thinks education is important.
10- Knows what he wants out of life.
11- Pretty eyes.
12- Plays the guitar.
13- Good cuddler.
Someone who I can fit perfectly into their arms.
14- Can make me smile no matter how bad of a day I had.
15- Makes me laugh until my stomach hurts.
16- Looks at me in the eyes and makes me feel special just by that look.
17- Makes me feel beautiful... No matter what I'm wearing.
18- Good family background.
19- Kisses me soft and sweet.
20- Can make any situation fun
21- Doesn't take things TOO seriously (unless they need to be)
22- Treats his mother well.
23- Treats MY mother (and the rest of my family) well.
24- Looks past my outer appearence.
25- Loves me for the person I am.
26- Encourages me through everything.
27- Strong opinions.
28- Isn't afraid to tell me when I'm being stupid.. But, will say it in a nice way.
29- Returned missionary with a strong testimony.
30- Unselfish.
I love him so much.

I'm engaged!
Yup, it became official on Saturday...Even though most of you knew before then, haha.
I had so much fun this weekend meeting my future in-laws. They are all great and so much fun.
Tyler and I flew into Oakland on Friday night. His parents picked us up, and took us into San Fransisco because I was pretty fascinated by the "Full House Bridge", aka the Golden Gate Bridge. We went to dinner at a place called Max's and it was so yummy, but reeeally expensive. We got some cheesecake to go, but I never did get to eat any of it! Then, they took me to drive over the bridge. I seriously was so excited. As we were driving up all the hills in SF, I was searching for THE Full House house, but it was no where to be seen, man.
When we got to Tyler's hometown, we got all settled in, then Tyler took me on a little tour of the town and showed me all the cool hang out spots when he was younger.
On Saturday morning, we woke up at 5 am and drove to the beach! It was SO pretty there, I was so excited to stick my feet in the sand. Too bad it was like -4363564 degrees. We were FREEZING! But, we decided to stick it out and have the picnic anyway. We ate bagels and fruit as we watched the sun rise. It was so amazing. Then, he got out some roses...We were playing the whole "he loves me he loves me not" game, and inside my rose was my ring! He got down on one knee and told me how great I was (which, I already knew of course! Just kidding) and asked me to marry him. I said yes, of course.
Then, he got out some glasses that his parents had packed for us. They were the glasses that they had their first wedding toast to, and they wanted us to have them. It was so sweet.
After that, we went to the farmer's market...SO COOL. I had a lot of fun watching all the weird people.
We ended up going to his nieces softball game, where I met his sister. She was so great. I liked her from the second I met her. She's 17 years older than me, but we got along great.
Later that day I met his brother, who was also great. He has two little girls and a baby boy. They are all DARLING. It was actually one's baptism, so it was cool to be there with the whole family. Afterward, we went back to his house and played. Okay, I played... Everyone else was talking but the girls wanted to play, so of course I couldn't pass that up.
On Sunday, we went to church and I met a million people and was really really fake. haha, but luckilly I made it through. We went home and my future nieces were all there. We played kitchen, again. We also ate dinner, where Tyler's brother decided to give me the present he had made me... A giant dinosoar poo he made me! I was honored, to say the least.
So, yeah my weekend was great and I can officially say that I'm engaged now! Yipeee. Let the planning begin..

Christian. He refused to smile, so we made faces instead.

I'm making the exact same face. haha. These girls are cute though, and so smart!
Oops. I haven't written in a few days. ahah. It's okay. I don't think anyone even knows my blog url yet! hah. It is finals week, so I have been sort of busy (okay, not really... but it sounds like a good excuse!)
Today was a good day (well, so far!) I substituted. It's always fun to see those cute kids. They make me laugh with all their little comments like how "the statue of Liberty is on top of every temple." hahah. So cute.
Above are a few pictures from today. We were getting ready to go home.

Today was a good day. I did absolutely nothing. I had no school and no substituting. It was nice to sleep in and just be lazy all day. Although, I'm sure I'll be sick of being lazy once finals are over and I have until June to be as lame as I'd like. We'll see.
The highlight of my day today was when my dogs Mac and Leo got out. It was so funny, there were four cars and one person chasing them. Mac came into the car nicely, but of course, Leo wouldn't give in without a good fight. He ran all over, making sure that everyone was chasing him. It was really funny to watch, but not so funny to participate in.
It's pretty sad that the best part of my day was because of a couple of dogs who decided it would be funny to run away. But, I guess it's the little things in life that make it worth living.

I'm new to this whole blogging thing. I'm not exactly sure what to even write in one of these things. But, I thought that I should give it a try, since everyone else seems to be doing it. Yeah, I'm a follower. hah.
So that this blog doesn't turn into some huge story about my life, I've decided that I will (try) to write about something good that happened each day.
Today's great thing that happened was that I received flowers from one of my good friends. It was a big surprise, and it was nice to know that someone was thinking about me. He even made his own little vase (that didn't stand up... Oh well, it's the thought that counts, right?) with a little note around it. I feel so lucky to have people in my life who genuinely care about me and my happiness. Although the flowers had no purpous, they really made my day brighter and that much more great.
